Over the next 48 hours, join us in pushing the boundaries of mixed reality applications using Meta Quest Technology.

TRACK 1 - Mixed Reality Board Games

Participants will reimagine classic tabletop experiences for the digital age. Potential projects might incldue:

  • AR Chess: Make the game come to life and move..
  • Puzzle games that turn your room into a virtual escape room.
TRACK 2 - Mixed Reality Productivity Tools

Students will develop practical applications that enhance work and organization in 3D space. Examples of projects might be:

  • Spatial Task Management: Organize tasks in 3D space.
  • Virtual Sticky Notes: Place notes around the room.
  • Room Planning: Plan and decorate your room using AR.

TECHNOLOGY STACK

Participants will work with state-of-the-art Meta Quest headsets, utlizing key features such as:

  • Spatial Anchors: Placing virtual objects in the real world.
  • Scene Depth Understanding: Making virtual and real world objects interact.

These technologies allow for a seamless blend of virtual content with the user's real environment, opening up new possibilities for both gameplay and productivity applications.

 

Requirements

What to Build

Design and build a 3D/XR project using one of the ideas above or come up with one of your own! Make sure to read the judging criteria and prize guidelines.

What to Submit

Submission Requirements:

  • A link to your GitHub Repository.
  • Everyone on your team must be added to your Devpost Project.

Additional submission components we recommend you include:

  • A brief video demo of your project.
  • Your demo presentation slides.
    • Motivation, Purpose, Technology Stack, Challenges, Future Improvements, Demo Link, etc.
  • A project logo as the thumbnail.

You will have 6 minutes to give your presentation, followed by a 4 minute Q&A section.
